Sobre o evento

In this 2nd Meeting of Organizations, we will continue to jointly develop the first community sponsorship strategy for refugees in Portugal. This time, we will focus on safeguard and monitoring and evaluation issues. We will also revisit the work done at the 1st Meeting, reporting on the progress achieved so far.

The number of people forced to move has reached a new record of 100 million worldwide. Community sponsorship of refugees is a solid and lasting solution to the humanitarian crisis we are experiencing, being established as the most holistic and sustainable way to welcome and integrate refugees, with benefits for all involved, contributing to a more efficient inclusion and more united communities. and resilient.

The CPR, through ComUnidade, intends to develop and support the implementation of this strategy in Portugal. Community sponsorship follows a whole-of-society approach, with contributions and commitment from civil society, promoting partnerships between a wide range of entities for collective impact. The nature of community sponsorship requires collaboration and cooperation between various sectors, as well as with local communities, who can better understand and address the challenges of refugee inclusion. Thus, we would like to count on everyone's participation and collaboration in this process of building the first community sponsorship program for refugees in Portugal.
